President Obama has kowtowed to the Japanese and Western liberals by promising at the site of the Hiroshima nuclear bomb “we shall not repeat the evil.” People who agree with this sentiment ought to do two things. First they should read the essay – Thank God for the Atom Bomb – war historian Paul Fussell wrote on how he felt when, as a 21-year-old second lieutenant in the US army, he and his comrades heard the news that Japan had been nuclear bombed into surrender. “When we learned to our astonishment that we would not be obliged in a few months

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Ca.) told ABC’s Jonathan Karl Sunday that Hillary Clinton just wanted some privacy to be able to talk to her husband, daughter, and friends “and not have somebody looking over her shoulder into her e-mails.” “Oh wait a second, I don’t believe she was trying to hide anything,” Feinstein said. “I’ve known Hillary for a quarter of a century. Let me tell you what I do think. I think this is a woman who wants a little bit of a private life. She wants to be able to communicate with husband, with daughter, with friends, and

California had one of its driest years in 2015. In fact, last year marked the driest four-year period in the state´s history. But Donald Trump isn´t sold. Six months later, the presumptive GOP nominee told supporters in Fresno, Calif., that no such dry spell exists. In fact, Trump said state officials were simply denying water to Central Valley farmers to prioritize the Delta smelt, a native California fish nearing extinction —or as Trump called it, "a certain kind of three-inch fish.” “We’re going to solve your water problem. You have a water problem that is so insane. It is so ridiculous where they’re

New Orleans Pelicans guard Bryce Dejean-Jones was fatally shot after breaking down the door to a Dallas apartment, authorities said Saturday. Dejean-Jones had been visiting his girlfriend’s new apartment and mistakenly entered the wrong unit, the player’s agent said. A man living at the apartment was sleeping when he heard his front door kicked open, Dallas Police Senior Cpl. DeMarquis Black said in a statement. When Dejean-Jones began kicking at the bedroom door, the man retrieved a handgun and fired. Officers who responded found Dejean-Jones collapsed in an outdoor passageway, and he died at a hospital. He was 23.

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump is scheduled to be in Washington, D.C., on Sunday to attend the Memorial Day event with Rolling Thunder. “I am doing it in honor of the great bikers who have been totally supportive of my campaign, and now I want to be supportive of them,” Trump told Bloomberg Politics. “I look forward to it!” “The bikers love Trump,” Trump touted previously on the campaign trail. “I’m not a huge biker. Barack Obama spoke in Hiroshima yesterday. The full text of his speech is here. Obama did not quite apologize for America’s use of the atomic bomb to bring WWII to an end, as some had feared. But his speech was nevertheless deeply revealing of his world view. Let’s begin by acknowledging that parts of Obama’s address were good, or at least unexceptionable. Peace is better than war! Modern man has developed terrible weapons, and the deaths of tens of millions are tragic. But it was in his specific references to Hiroshima and the weapons used there where Obama revealed his radical

Hillary Clinton met up with community leaders in Oakland, California on Friday, wearing a vintage - if slightly unexpected - outfit. The former secretary of state donned a pink gingham jacket with large white buttons as she sat down with mayor Libby Schaaf at the Home Of Chicken And Waffles. Together they discussed gentrification, job opportunities and inequality in Oakland - and got so entrenched in the conversation no one noshed on the diner´s comfort food specialties, NBC Bay Area reported. Pink gingham became increasingly popular at the end of the 1950s, after French actress Brigitte Bardot wore it during
