Dirty Harry Reid’s Role in Obamagate
American Spectator, by George Neumayr    Original Article

Last October, Harry Reid, the ruthlessly partisan former senator from Nevada, wrote a nasty and bumptious letter to FBI director James Comey. The letter remains a significant piece of evidence in Obamagate, as it confirms his role as conduit for Obama administration’s political espionage against Trump. “In my communications with you and other top officials in the national security community, it has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisors, and the Russian government,” he wrote. “The public has a right to know this information. How the Trump Administration Is Working

Like a bachelor before a date, the Obama administration rushed around during the transition hiding dirty laundry for the incoming administration. And now, almost 100 days in, the Trump team is still working to find and undo a handful of underreported bureaucratic messes left behind. The Obama administration was on cruise control before the election because almost everyone in the president’s circle was sure that Hillary Clinton would win. However, as reality set in, the president and his team rushed through a series of regulatory measures, leaving behind a a few dirty socks for the Trump administration to pick up. In fact,

Bill O’Reilly’s Fox News career now swims with the fishes. The conventional wisdom is that after the NY Times exposed a history of sexual harassment settlements, and two new accusers came forward, advertisers “fled” the show, forcing the hand of News Corp and the Murdochs. That conventional wisdom is only partially correct — advertisers didn’t flee, they were chased away by the same organized effort as was used against Glenn Beck once upon a time, and Rush Limbaugh in 2012. Longtime readers will recall my extensive and groundbreaking research into the StopRush operation just after Limbaugh’s comments about Sandra Fluke in 2012, for

Old-school journalists ‘pi**ed’ about

Gayle King’s serious CBS colleagues had a lot to say about her recent yacht jaunt with former first couple Barack and Michelle Obama in Tahiti, and it wasn’t positive. “The ‘Capital J’ journalists are pi**ed and raving mad that she was on a yacht with the Obamas over the weekend. The old-school people were talking about it. She shouldn’t be doing that. She’s an anchor of a news program that covers the White House. You’re held to a different standard. It’s one thing to be friendly. It’s another thing to go vacationing on a yacht,” a source told us of the

Paris (CNN)French police are hunting a man identified by Belgian security services in connection with an attack on police officers in Paris Thursday, a French interior ministry spokesman said. A gunman, who shot three police officers on the Champs-Elysee, killing one, was later claimed by ISIS through its media wing Amaq as an Islamic State "fighter" they dubbed "the Belgian." French Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet told France´s Europe 1 radio Friday that it´s too early to tell what role the second suspect played, if any, in the attack. "There are probably, possible accomplices that need to be arrested which

The slaying of at least one police officer and the wounding of two others by an ISIS gunman in Paris on Thursday was yet another tragedy for France. It joins the long list of French atrocities committed by ISIS, from the Bataclan massacre in November 2015 to the truck rampage in Nice that killed 84 last summer. France is the perfect target for jihadists. It is an icon of Western pleasures, from the Champs-Élysées, where Thursday’s attack occurred, to the beaches of the Riviera and Nice. It has an aggressive foreign policy: contra the laugh-lines of congressmen from 2003, the French

In a major victory in the ongoing Lois Lerner scandal at the IRS, non-profit election integrity organization True the Vote defeated an IRS motion to quash discovery in True the Vote v. IRS. The ruling means that everyone involved in the scandal could be compelled to submit every document related to the case and be deposed by True the Vote´s legal team. From their press release: Judge Reggie Walton of U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia just issued a critical order in True the Vote v. IRS case. The order compels the IRS to submit to discovery and

Democrats inherit the foreign policy crises of a thousand Republican presidential fathers, but the foreign policy crises inherited by incoming Republicans in the White House are always orphans. Or at least that’s how the media likes to spin it. If you believe your random mainstream media outlet of choice, North Korea and Syria were crises freshly spawned by this administration with no prior history. But these ticking time bombs are the direct result of the two terrible terms of his predecessor. The Nobel Peace Prize winner’s years in the White House were the most dysfunctional, schizophrenic and senseless eight years of our national

The alleged ISIS gunman, identified as 39-year-old Karim C - who was jailed for 20 years for trying to kill officers in 2001 - parked his Audi and opened fire after police stopped at a red light on the world famous avenue. French police said the attack was probably a ´terrorist act´ and dramatic video footage captured the moment police shot at the assailant, who later died. Police

Scarcely had the starting gun for Britain’s election battle been fired when technology guru Bill Gates waded in with a doom-laden warning to the Prime Minister. The American multi-billionaire, the world’s richest man, was accused of ‘lecturing’ Britain last night after telling Theresa May not to slash the country’s bloated foreign aid budget – claiming that doing so would diminish Britain’s influence in the world and mean many more lives lost in Africa. In an article in the Guardian, he wrote: ‘The big aid givers now are the US, Britain and Germany. If those three back off, a lot of

Vanishing ocean floor in the Florida Keys

If sea rise weren’t scary enough, scientists have now found another phenomenon threatening the Florida Keys and other coasts protected by reefs: a vanishing ocean floor. In a study published Thursday in the journal Biogeosciences, a team from the U.S. Geological Survey documented a dramatic erosion of the sea floor around coral reefs, ranging from a few inches to nearly three feet since the 1930s. Combined with sea rise, the disappearing bottom means the hazards facing coasts — storm surge from hurricanes and even erosion from everyday waves — will likely be worse than now projected, especially for the low-lying Keys.

BUDAPEST, Hungary — Hungary’s headstrong nationalist prime minister and Hungary’s most famous expatriate liberal billionaire are on a collision course in a battle over the future of a school. Protesters pledged to keep demonstrating against the government even after Prime Minister Viktor Orban pushed through legislation that critics fear could shut down a university founded by American-Hungarian investor and Democratic Party power broker George Soros. Mr. Soros has attracted staunch supporters and bitter critics in the U.S. with his willingness to put his fortune at the service of his liberal principles. First, he announced he would not seek another term in Congress. Then, he said he might leave early. So what’s the deal, Jason Chaffetz? Is there a scandal coming down the pike that we don’t know about? “Absolutely, positively not,” Chaffetz told Politico on Thursday. “Not in any way, shape, or form.” He added, “If they had something really scandalous, it would’ve come out a long, long time ago.” So why, then, is the Utah Congressman and House Oversight Committee Chairman contemplating an early exit from office? His comments to Politico don’t exactly shed much light on the matter. “I

The US government is laying the groundwork for criminal charges to be filed against WikiLeaks founder Jullian Assange, CNN is reporting on Thursday. Assange has been on the American government´s radar since 2010, when his organization published thousands of classified documents stolen by former US Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning. In August 2013, a military tribunal sentenced Manning to 35 years in prison. That sentence was commuted earlier this year by then-President Barack Obama. Manning is due for release next month. These days, many people are anxious about the threat that Islam poses to the West. The fear is understandable but misplaced. And there are a host of reasons why this proves to be true. Islam is a religion stuck in pre-medieval times and has rarely produced any civilizational, scientific or technological advancements. Around 40 percent of Muslims worldwide are illiterate. Muslim nations are unable to manufacture even the most elementary of things without the aid of Western engineering, knowledge, and technology. To a great and powerful civilization, Islam can never pose a threat. The only reason Islam was ever able
