A new poll released by the Center for Immigration Studies shows the majority of likely voters simply want illegal immigrants to head back to their home countries. A new poll using neutral language — and avoiding the false choice of conditional legalization vs. mass deportations — finds that most Americans want illegal immigrants to return to their home counties, rather than be given legal status. The findings also show a very large gap in intensity, with those who want illegal immigrants to head home feeling much stronger about that option than those who would like to

WASHINGTON – Caroline Kennedy is the "leading contender" on the short list of candidates President Obama is considering to be the next ambassador to Canada, a senior Democratic official tells Fox News. Kennedy, the daughter of the late President Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, has been a strong political and financial supporter of Obama. The confirmation that she´s being strongly considered comes as the Canadian press is abuzz about the possible picks. Canadian newspapers have been floating other possible candidates to the spot in the past few weeks. Among those rumored to be on the list: Former Washington governor

A Teen Jeopardy! contestant had some harsh words for unnamed recent presidents Wednesday. Responding to host Alex Trebek’s question about what he’d “bring to the presidency that we haven’t had say in the last few decades,” Lexington, Kentucky, high school senior Barrett Block said, “A sense of competence and accountability.” ALEX TREBEK: Barrett Block is from Lexington, Kentucky, a senior at Henry Clay High School. This young man is fairly serious because he’s always dreamed of one particular ambition. And that is?

Looking for a free sex change operation? Enroll at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Come August, the school will offer coverage in its student health care plan for the procedure, according to The Daily Caller. “We identified this as an important benefit for students to have access to,” said Director of Insurance and Purchasing Services Jeanne Hebert, in The Daily Caller report. The new health care provision, she reportedly said, is part of an overall effort “to support all students” at the university. The insurance offering is substantial; according to industry estimates,

In an opening statement at a Senate hearing on the September 11, 2012 attack on a U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta told a committee that a lack of time and proximity prevented a military response following the attack. He also told the committee that we have a “solemn responsibility” to the families of the four Americans killed in the attack to bring those people to justice and make sure it doesn’t happen again Panetta also said that U.S. officials and the Department of Defense, in particular, did all they could in responding to the attack.

LOS ANGELES — President Obama is already learning from John Kerry, his new Secretary of State: Obama was for sequestration before he was against it. Obama favored the automatic spending cuts of sequestration in 2011. They were his idea. Now he is against them. In his latest press conference he lambasted Republicans for agreeing with him and demanded they now reject his policy in the name of coming together. Huh? Perhaps Obama should spend less time focusing on trying to ban guns and more time on dealing with mental illness. He seems a bit schizophrenic these days.

A Washington Post reporter who once served as the paper’s Miami bureau chief reported Wednesday evening that Casa de Campo, the resort at the center of New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez’s prostitution scandal, is a place where prostitutes do make occasional appearances. In the neighboring Dominican Republic town of La Romana, Post reporter Manuel Roig-Franzia found prostitutes who said wealthy customers had hired them for sex and covertly brought them into the resort.“The prostitutes talk of occasionally being secreted into Casa de Campo in the back seats of chauffeur-driven SUVs with tinted windows,” Roig-Franzia reported, ”gliding into the complex Headline corrected by staff

A Virginia appellate court ruled last week that a prison trampled on an inmate’s constitutional rights by refusing to pay for the felon’s sexual-reassignment surgery — a procedure costing about $20,000. The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit decided that denying to pay for gender reassignment surgery for Michael Stokes, a transgender bank robber serving a 73-year sentence, violates the constitution’s Eighth Amendment, which protects against cruel and unusual punishment, according to the ruling. The decision, titled De’Lonta v. Johnson, gave the following analogy:

As we reported earlier this week, celebrities are finding ever more inventive ways of baring their assets on the red carpet. Side-boobs, waistline-necklines and backless dresses, which sit so low they reveal something of ´what lies beneath´, have become the norm. And that´s before we´ve even got into the thigh-split dresses that so love to make a feature of a girl´s underpants. Such rampant, flesh-baring antics have now driven CBS, the broadcaster of Sunday´s 55th Grammy Awards, to take the unusual step of sending out a ´Standard And Practice Wardrobe Advisory´ notice to all attendees, containing a strict dress code.

The media complicity in President Obama´s drone strategy gets more and more astonishing with each passing day. On Wednesday, Britain´s Guardian published a piece with the incredible sub-headline "New York Times and Washington Post knew about secret drone base in Saudi Arabia but agreed not to disclose it to the public." On Tuesday, following Monday´s disclosure by NBC of a leaked Justice Department white paper on the case for its controversial targeted killing programme, the Washington Post revealed it had previously refrained from publishing the base´s location at the behest of the Obama administration over national security concerns.

First he dictated the size of our cups — now he wants to ban what they’re made of. The Bloomberg administration is considering banning Styrofoam cups and containers — popular at thousands of delis and food carts across the city— as it prepares to roll out a major recycling announcement in the coming weeks, a Sanitation Department official said yesterday. “We’re studying all the different things in our waste stream. We want to make sure that everything in our waste stream is recyclable,” Ron Gonen, deputy commissioner for recycling at Sanitation, told The Post. Mayor Bloomberg last year

This is, actually, a tiny bit unusual. The normal form for summits is that leaders arrive in big shiny cars, which pull up to the rear entrance of the Justus Lipsius building to disgorge their VIP cargo before a pack of waiting hacks clustered by the door. Like a lot of summitry, this ritual is a bit silly, especially since the leaders often aren´t coming from very far away. In the case of a British PM, the distance concerned is sometimes only a few hundred yards, from the UK Permanent Representative´s office street or so away.

Finding out what’s in it v 1,467, or “Not this crap again.” ObamaCare was sold as a health insurance reducer. Instead, in a few years many Americans will see their health insurance costs rise to $20,000 per year. Some premiums will rise by as much as 85%. ObamaCare was sold as being good for your bottom line. Instead, it may drive the price of pizza through the roof. And now, it may also force price hikes at your local supermarket. The proposed regulation would require store owners to label prepared, unpackaged foods found in salad bars and

Fox News and the Republican Party, while still technically distinct entities, are moving to purge figures who are so controversial they´re damaging the conservative brand, Politico´s Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen report. An anonymous GOP strategist told Politico there is a deliberate effort to "marginalize the cranks, haters and bigots — there’s a lot of underbrush that has to be cleaned out." The strategist requested anonymity because the crank marginalization is not yet complete and he or she doesn´t want to inflame the cranks. New York´s Jonathan

A confidential legal review has just decided that the President should have broad power to issue preemptive cyber attacks, says the NYT. This review comes at a time when the pace of attacks on sensitive computer systems has picked up. The Energy Department, two American power stations, the NYT, the WSJ, and Washington Post have all been recent victims of recent assaults, at least three of which allegedly came from China. These attacks have the potential to cripple an entire nation’s infrastructure, from a distance, and without the use of explosives. But some fear the Obama Administration is

TONY BENNETT: It´s the kind of turn that happened to the great country of Germany, when Nazis came over and created tragic things, and they had to be told off. And if we continue this kind of violence and accept it in our country, the rest of the world´s going to really take care of us, in a very bad way.

As he continues to fill out his cabinet, a report emerged late Wednesday that President Obama is "close to choosing" Chicago billionaire Penny Pritzker as America´s next Secretary of Commerce. There´s only one problem. She and her secretive family have been caught up in some pretty dodgy commercial ventures including but not limited to dodging taxes and running a bank that specialized in subprime mortgages. Scandal potential aside, Penny Pritzker makes good sense as Obama´s pick for Commerce Secretary. She´s engaged in commerce, first of all — like, a lot of it. Having been born into the family that

Last week Kirsten Powers, one of the more visible Democratic contributors to Fox News, wrote a lengthy piece for that organization’s website called “Obama vs. Fox News –behind the White House strategy to delegitimize a news organization.” In it she rather shockingly set herself apart from her more radical cohorts on the left by demonstrating a willingness to denounce them for their demonization of Fox and their assault on freedom of the press. She may be one of the last pundits on the left to adhere, at least in this instance, to classical liberal values.

CAMBRIDGE – When Harvard University computer scientist LaTanya Sweeney Googled her name she was surprised at what she found. A Google ad questioning whether she had an arrest record. “I almost fell out of my chair! I’ve never been arrested, what’s going on here?“ She’s a law-abiding citizen, but the Google ad from a firm called Instant Checkmate suggested she had a criminal record. “If they sell it don’t they know who they have arrest records for?” She dug deeper with over 2,100 names, most coming from a study on birth records which

President Barack Obama has presided over the worst multi-year recovery in American history since the end of World War II, according to data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA). During his tenure, the economy has grown only 7.5 percent, compared with double-digit growth in other post-recession periods. Using inflation-adjusted GDP figures from BEA and business cycle dates from the National Bureau of Economic Research (the organization used by the government to date when recessions and recoveries begin and end), CNSNews.com calculated how much the economy grew for each post-recession period since 1949, the earliest

Boykin told CNSNews.com.

So, let´s get this straight: Two years ago President Obama ordered the assassination-by-drone of an American citizen overseas. The fellow was successfully vaporized. And according to Wednesday afternoon´s headlines, Obama just now "agrees" to share with Congress the memos he relied on for his legal justification to kill that American. And by extension, others that Obama or his successors might deem expendable for "national security" reasons. This from the arugula-loving Democrat who professed such profound moral outrage over the non-lethal (Republican) terrorist interrogation process called waterboarding.

Amid Chicago Mayor Emanuel´s recent push to get Bank of America, other banks, and various mutual funds to divest from gun companies, Breitbart News thought the timing was right to sit down with Joe Sirochman of American Spirit Arms (ASA). We talked to him about the way Bank of America treated his company shortly after the heinous crime at Sandy Hook Elementary took place. ASA is a Scottsdale AZ-based manufacturer of custom AR-15 rifles and pistols. And as Sirochman will tell you the first time you meet him, "ASA is an American company making guns for Americans."
