Today’s bus bombing in central Tel Aviv--the first in more than six years--injured twenty-three people and will likely rule out any cease fire in the Gaza conflict in the coming days. The location of the blast is significant: it occurred a short distance away from the Kirya, the nerve center of Israel’s military. The attack was also timed to coincide with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s visit to Israel, and sends a message of contempt to the U.S. The likely result is that Israel will continue with plans for a ground invasion of Gaza, just as it used a

Tonight on Fox News’ Special Report With Bret Baier, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol kept up his recent pattern of spouting nonsense when he began complimenting the current Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt for its supposed moderation. Despite the fact that Egypt has sent its prime minister to the Gaza Strip, threatened war with Israel, and accused Israel of perpetrating a “massacre,” Kristol thinks Mohammed Morsi is doing a phenomenal job: “It’s amazing. If you predicted a month ago or three months ago that the Muslim Brotherhood would take over Egypt and has done

The Service International Employees Union – the same union that will be shutting down traffic around Los Angeles International Airport on Thanksgiving Eve – has admitted that a staffer requested that union members stack a legal petition with fake names to sink it. The petition is the brainchild of former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan, who wants to put a measure revising public service employee union pensions on the ballot. Today, SEIU acknowledged that one of its work site organizers had violated the law in order to push its agenda. The SEIU 721 union spokesman explained:

For someone alleged to have grown up in Asia, Barack Obama is repeatedly clueless about customs there. It´s one thing if you´re a tourist. But as the president of the United States? More problematic. You may recall earlier trips there, part of his apology tours, when the Democrat president was bowing to just about everyone. In Japan, Emperor Akihito in a gesture of hospitality stuck out his hand for a Western greeting rather than expect a bow as he would from a subject. Maybe Obama skips his protocol briefings too.

After surviving a Supreme Court decision and a presidential election, the Obama administration’s health-care law faces another challenge: a public largely unaware of major changes that will roll out in the coming months. States are rushing to decide whether to build their own health exchanges and the administration is readying final regulations, but a growing body of research suggests that most low-income Americans who will become eligible for subsidized insurance have no idea what is coming.Part of the problem, experts say, is that people who will be affected do not realize the urgency, because the subsidies will not

District of Corruption is a documentary in select theatres produced by Judicial Watch. More from their presser: The film opened on October 26, 2012, in three states: Florida, Ohio and Texas. DALLAS — The city of Dallas will mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy next year with a ceremony featuring the tolling of church bells, a moment of silence and readings by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David McCullough from the president’s speeches. “I think what we want to do is focus on the life and legacy and leadership of President Kennedy,” Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings said Tuesday. “The tone is going to be serious, simple, respectful, and it’s going to be about his life.” The commemoration Nov. 22, 2013, will take place in Dealey Plaza,

Two weeks ago, Mitt Romney was anxiously waiting at his campaign´s headquarters in Boston to hear the results of the election. After his crippling loss, pictures surfaced of the former Massachusetts governor drowning his sorrows in a gallon of chocolate milk. He was recently pictured with his distinctive salt-and-pepper hair unceremoniously unkempt, and has been spotted going to the gym with his wife, Ann. And now, two weeks to the day since he lost the election to President Obama, Romney went to Disneyland, a place typically saved for when public figures experience victory.

In the 1970´s there was an evocative public service advertisement on television. It showed an old and grizzled Native American Chief with a tear rolling down his cheek as he surveyed the scaring of the landscape of this once pristine land. On that fateful Tuesday evening two weeks past, as the results of the 2012 presidential election became painfully obvious, those of us who were blessed to immigrate to the United States in search of freedom and opportunity and were welcomed with open arms, found ourselves looking across the panorama of our adopted land with tears rolling

The Obama’s are gearing up for their Thanksgiving feast in the White House, and now for the first time the public gets to see how the presidential turkey is prepared. Executive chef Cris Comerford’s recipe for the brine-soaked Thyme-Roasted Turkey and Turkey Gravy was released on the Obama Foodorama website, along with a few other festive side dishes. Thanksgiving “is one of the best days of the year to be an American,” the president said last year. “It’s a day to count our blessings, spend time with the ones we love, and enjoy some good food and some great company.”

If you visit Qik-n-EZ stores in Springfield, Lincoln, Pana, Shelbyville or Bloomington, you’ll see Clay Evers’ heart and soul perched near the cash register. That would be his Bacon Brownie, an individually wrapped square of fudgy goodness studded with three strips of chopped applewood-smoked bacon and sprinkled with sea salt. It sells for $2.49. “I call it a Ford truck. It’s made for the working man,” said Evers, 43, a former lobbyist, video producer and pig farmer. His family has farmed in Greenview for five generations.

Fresh off his reelection, President Barack Obama is asking his supporters to complete a survey that asks the people being polled to check off which “constituency groups” they identify with – there are 22 groups listed but not one for “whites” or “men.” The post-election survey, distributed through www.barackobama.com to “take this organization forward,” includes the question, “Which constituency groups do you identify yourself with? Select all that apply.” It then lists 22 groups. But whites and men are not on the list – women are, as are African Americans, Arab-Americans, Latinos and LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender).

By now you´ve heard the outrageous quote from Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., on his doubts about the origins of planet Earth. When asked to give its age, he replied: "I´m not a scientist, man. … Whether the Earth was created in 7 days, or 7 actual eras, I´m not sure we´ll ever be able to answer that. It´s one of the great mysteries." He´s not a scientist—no, indeed—and his comments have brought on a slew of finger wags and face-palms from the godless left. The answer was "so confused and error-riddled," wrote Phil Plait in Slate,

LYNN, Mass.—Among the kitchen table issues dividing American households, perhaps none is as sticky as the one cropping up yet again this Thanksgiving: whether or not to put Fluff on the sweet-potato casserole. For aficionados, the controversy over slathering Marshmallow Fluff across the naturally sweet root vegetable ranks right up there with homemade or store-bought-in-a-can cranberry sauce. And how Americans answer the question is critical to Durkee-Mower Inc., the family-owned company that has been making Fluff, a spreadable marshmallow cream, since 1920.

Bias: It´s hard to see how press coverage of President Obama´s re-election bid could have gotten any more biased, but a new report shows the media managed to outdo themselves the week before voters went to the polls. The Pew Research Center´s latest analysis puts hard numbers against the claim that the press went out of its way to get Obama re-elected. According to the report, after months of positive press, "Obama´s coverage improved dramatically" in the crucial final week of the campaign.

How the left-wing Freak Show is gearing up for ’16, keying off of Marco Rubio’s recent remarks about the age of Earth, from “Morning Joe”: There’s one area where Democrats are really far ahead of Republicans right now. Science and technology, no. It’s doing this thing that Democrats failed to do in 2000, to stop George W. MUMBAI, India -- India executed the lone surviving gunman from the 2008 Mumbai terror attack early Wednesday, four years after Pakistani gunmen blazed through India´s financial capital, killing 166 people and throwing relations between the nuclear-armed neighbors into a tailspin. Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, a Pakistani citizen, was hung in secrecy at a jail in Pune, a city near Mumbai, after Indian President Pranab Mukherjee rejected his plea for clemency. News of the execution was widely cheered in India, with political parties organizing public celebrations and some people setting off firecrackers. But for those

As TV networks began to call the race for President Obama in the 2012 general election earlier this month, Karl Rove fumbled with his white board insisting the race wasn´t over and that the votes from vital Ohio counties had not yet been fully tallied. A glimmer of hope that Mitt Romney could snatch victory from the jaws of certain defeat remained visible through the squinting lens of Rove´s roseate stubbornness. As his recount was underway last weekend in Florida, Congressman Allen West basked in the glow of adulation

Barack Obama, the Uniter, is finally coming clean – he is admitting he sees Americans not as a group striving for commonality in American values, but an amalgam of separate constituencies proud to claim their separate identities. Obama is asking his supporters to complete a survey on his website in which they check off which of 22 “constituency groups” they identify with. Oh, by the way, if you’re a white man, don’t apply - there are no groups listed as “whites’ or “men.” Obama isn’t interested in appealing to you. There are groups for women, African-Americans, Arab-Americans, Latinos, Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender, Educators

During the presidential campaign I served as a lowly foot soldier for Romney. In the battleground of Northern Virginia I knocked on doors, made telephone calls, handed out literature. Election Day I participated in the fiasco named Project ORCA. Gripe 1. ORCA sounded great. In real time GOP poll watchers would inform Romney headquarters who had voted in a precinct—and who had not. As the day wore on HQ would contact the laggards and urge they get to the polls. Content added by staff

An explosion hit a public bus in the heart of Tel Aviv today, wounding at least 10 people. The blast shattered windows on the bus, which was driving on a street that runs alongside Israel´s defence headquarters. Israel´s ambulance service said three of the wounded were in a moderate-to-serious condition. Police are clearing the area, and early reports suggest it appears there was a second bomb that was not detonated. ´A bomb exploded on a bus in central Tel Aviv. This was a terrorist attack. Most of the injured suffered only mild injuries," said Ofir Gendelman, a spokesman for Prime
