On Thursday’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “The Five,” co-host Greg Gutfeld challenged President Barack Obama’s defense of U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice in his press conference on Wednesday. Gutfeld, the author of “The Joy of Hate: How to Triumph over Whiners in the Age of Phony Outrage,” said the mixed signals coming from the White House are as unprofessional as they are unpersuasive. “So, responding to the Benghazi mess, President Obama said Susan Rice had the best intel available,” Gutfeld said. “[B]est intel available? The White House caterer knew this was a terror attack before Obama

Record executive and producer David Geffen finalized a deal last week to buy the luxury penthouse apartment owned by socialite Denise Rich on Manhattan´s Upper East Side for record-smashing $54million. Rich, 68, the Grammy-nominated songwriter who renounced her American passport in November, was originally asking $65million for the stunning 12,000 square-foot Fifth Avenue dwelling, but settled for a sum nearly 17 per cent lower than her asking price, according to the Wall Street Journal. Still, the deal marks the highest price ever paid for a co-op in Manhattan,

When we celebrate Thanksgiving in a little over a week, after being thankful for family and friends, for health and comfort, for food and shelter; it may be time to be thankful for the left. I have seen far too much despair and defeatism, too many comments that suggest there is no hope for America and the only thing left to do is pour a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.I understand the place of despair and pain that such words come from. But they also testify to how sheltered Americans are from the cold winds outside.

The NRA has been saying all along that Barack Obama would unleash an assault on our Second Amendment freedoms if he won a second term. It sure didn’t take long for him to prove us right. Just hours after Obama won re-election last Tuesday, his administration endorsed a new effort by the global gun grabbers at the United Nations to draft a gun ban treaty early next year. The official starting point for the new talks is last year’s failed draft, which contains provisions that threaten our sovereign right to keep and bear arms through an international gun

This will surely cheer up Republicans suffering from post-election depression. Former President Bill Clinton told Mitt Romney Monday he would have won the presidency if not for Hurricane Sandy. According to ABC News´s Chris Good, Romney held a number of conference calls with top donors Wednesday. During one of them, Romney said he had gotten a call from Clinton this past Monday. “I spoke with president Clinton the day before yesterday, he called and spent thirty minutes chatting with me," Good reported Romney saying. Former CIA Director David Petraeus wanted GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney to keep him on if the Republican beat President Obama in last Tuesday´s national election, according to Romney associates. (Snip) Campaign associates told Secrets that they were pushing for a Cabinet with no ties to Obama and intelligence officials suggested that the campaign was concerned that Petraeus had politicized the agency in the Benghazi, Libya attack and had let the president take too much credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden, the 9/11 attack mastermind.

Former Dick Clark Productions Chief Executive Mark Shapiro has emerged as a candidate for the top job at the cable news channel CNN, according to people familiar with the matter. Shapiro, who prior to running Dick Clark Productions was a top programming executive at ESPN, would be an unusual choice for the CNN job, given that he does not have a traditional hard news background. However, Shapiro has strong production chops from his days at ESPN, which has its own large news division. He is seen as an innovative executive unafraid to take chances.

Planned Parenthood, whose federal funding was threatened by GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, is taking credit for President Obama´s reelection by keeping independent women scared long enough about Romney´s agenda for Obama to win them over. Dawn Laguens, executive vice president of Planned Parenthood, on Wednesday said that the women´s health group, starting in June, focused on keeping the minds of independent women open to voting for Obama by warning how Romney would rob them of birth control and abortion. That, she said, gave the president enough time to convince women that the economy was getting better

Hidden by the much bigger headline warnings about Obamacare´s impact, military retirees who have their own health care system are facing radical changes and cost hikes due to Pentagon budget cuts. In one of the most buzzed- and tweeted-about issues this week, the Pentagon is looking to dump 171,000 retirees out of the popular TRICARE Prime managed care program and into TRICARE Standard, the fee-for-service insurance option. The result could be significantly higher costs. A story on military.com revealed the military´s planning, explaining that retirees who live beyond 40-miles of a military base of medical facility will be hit.

Is there a limit to the number of times the news media will act as willing accomplices for Palestinian propaganda? Apparently not. The BBC, which has been an enemy of Israel for years, even going so far as to quote as an authority noted Israel hater Richard Falk, who has compared Israelis to Nazis, has now been caught cutting a video showing a “victim” of the Israeli attack on Gaza being carried out, seriously wounded. One problem. In the same video thirty seconds later, the same man is standing on his own two feet. It’s a miracle! The BBC’s hostility to Israel has been evidenced by acts like these:

Israel has been under the most profound siege since the fall of 2000; some would say, since the day after it won the 1967 war of self-defense; others would insist that the siege began the moment the sovereign Jewish state came into being in 1948. They are all right. Hamas rockets have been launched against Israel for years now—only the world refused to see or hear them or to understand what this meant in human and civilian terms.
