President Obama has been sending identically worded, typewritten form letters to the parents of soldiers, Marines and Navy SEALs killed in action. Is "No Drama Obama" cool or ice-hearted? For years now, the commander in chief has sent to families of fallen troops form letters that he's done little more than sign his name to. Is it a gaffe? A symptom of heartlessness? A refrigerator has more warmth. Latent anti-military sentiment? If this is the explanation, it would have to border on contempt for those who wear the uniform. In contrast, according to Ricochet.com's Diane Ellis, Obama's predecessor

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops released a statement Friday saying that Vice President Joe Biden falsely described Obamcare's contraception and abortifacient mandate: Last night, the following statement was made during the Vice Presidential debate regarding the decision of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to force virtually all employers to include sterilization and contraception, including drugs that may cause abortion, in the health insurance coverage they provide their employees: "With regard to the assault on the Catholic Church, let me make it absolutely clear. Testimony in a congressional hearing Wednesday on the Sept. 11 outrage against the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi fueled a growing suspicion: President Barack Obama’s administration was more concerned about projecting the image of improving stability in Libya, to bolster his re-election chances, than it was about ensuring the security of Americans on the ground there. The fact of a successful terrorist attack against the U.S. on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks — a day, above all others, when security for American officials in volatile countries should be at its utmost — is demoralizing and infuriating.

Even though the mainstream media's Narrative Gatekeepers won't allow for a national discussion on the security failures in Libya and the subsequent White House cover up, that doesn’t mean voters are disinterested or that local media outlets in the individual states aren't covering the September 11 anniversary attacks. This morning, the Columbus Dispatch out of the crucial swing state of Ohio, published a brutal (because it's true) editorial lashing out at Obama's dishonest and incompetent mishandling of Libya: The fact of a successful terrorist attack against the U.S. on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks — a day,

White House photographer Pete Souza posts this picture of President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton greeting the remains of the four Americans — including U.S. Amb. Christopher Stephens — who died in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Both Obama and Clinton have come under fire for their response to those attacks, as details emerge suggesting that the administration failed to respond to a growing terrorist threat in Libya, and declined requests for additional security to protect U.S. personnel there.

Coffee giant Starbucks is in a dogfight with Starbarks, a fledgling canine day care center outside Chicago, over its name and logo's resemblance to the java chain's trademark emblem. Andrea McCarthy-Grzybek, 46, who co-owns the doggie day care located at 220 North Main Street in Algonquin, Ill., with her husband Al, 44, said she'll change their business name and logo if she's pushed, but can't afford to pursue the case further in court. In April, only a month after Starbarks' grand opening, she received a cease and desist letter from Starbucks, demanding they alter all similar aspects of their business

Roger Ebert: Winner: Biden Biden won, by doing what Obama didn’t do. He didn’t give Ryan a pass on anything. Biden spoke persuasively; Ryan was all abstraction. Wisdom from Biden that Ryan evaded: Biden: “War should always be the absolute last resort.” The knock-out punch: Biden on Ryan’s tax cuts: “Mathematically impossible. It has NEVER been done before.” The turning point: At about 40 minutes, Biden’s amusement begins to seem justified. He’s calling Ryan on everything. Getting under Ryan’s skin.

The Libya debacle is not merely a case of inadequate security. It is a case of willful blindness to the progress of al-Qaeda in a locale that the Obama team had boasted was a grand success for its “leading from behind” strategy. The administration despite every available bit of evidence continued to cling to a false narrative, and repeat that narrative to the public, because it refused to recognize that Libya was a terrorist victory, not a U.S. success story. With each passing day, we learn that the administration

Joe Biden deftly defended President Barack Obama’s record at Thursday’s vice presidential debate, swatting down Paul Ryan, who didn’t score playing dodge ball. I’m a bit torn over whether Ryan’s biggest mistake was offering little about Mitt Romney’s vision for the nation or his refusal to answer some major questions about abortion, jobs and when U.S. troops should be sent to war. Ryan, 42, looked very junior to Biden, who turns 70 next month — that he could not help.

Michael Hayden, former CIA director, and Michael Chertoff, who served as Homeland Security chief, today blasted Vice President Joe Biden for making the U.S. intelligence community a scapegoat for 'the inconsistent and shifting response of the Obama Administration'. The tough joint statement was issued via the Romney campaign the morning after Biden stunned many in the intelligence community by insisting that the U.S. consulate in Benghazi did not ask for additional security before it was attacked on September 11, directly contradicting what security officials and diplomats have testified under oath. 'During the Vice Presidential debate, we were

At age 11, Ghulam was married off to 40-year-old Jaiz in a rural Afghan village, making her only one of more than 10 million young girls who are being forced to wed men old enough to be their fathers or grandfather every year. In an effort to start a global conversation about the devastating effects of early marriages, which are currently practiced in more than 50 developing countries, the United Nations designated October 11 as International Day of the Girl Child this year. Vice President Joseph Biden speaks only for himself and President Barack Obama, and neither man was aware that U.S. officials in Libya had asked the State Department for more security before the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, a top White House official told The Cable. Biden has come under fire for saying at Thursday night's debate, "We weren't told they wanted more security. We did not know they wanted more security there." The Cable asked Deputy National Security Advisor for Communications Ben Rhodes whether Biden was speaking for the entire Obama administration,

October 12 marks the 12th anniversary of the bombing of the USS Cole. The grim milestone comes as President Obama faces mounting questions about his administration's dereliction of duty during the murderous attack on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya. And it comes just a day after resurgent al-Qaida thugs pulled off the drive-by assassination of a top Yemeni security official who worked at the U.S. embassy in Sanaa. These are not "bumps in the road." These are gravesites on the blood-spattered path to surrender. Seventeen U.S. sailors died in the brutal suicide attack on the guided

White House records reveal that the moderator of last night's vice presidential debate, Martha Raddatz, visited Vice President Joe Biden at his official residence on March 26, 2012. Raddatz is an employee of ABC News. As the records show, that day Raddatz visited the VPR (or, the vice president's residence) for a "Women's History Month Reception." That record was released on June 29, 2012. According to Biden's schedule released the day before the event, "the Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will host a reception in honor of Women’s History Month at the Naval Observatory."

Media member after media member are coming down on Joe Biden's abysmal behavior at Thursday's vice presidential debate. Liberal pollster John Zogby has joined the parade saying, "Biden was supercilious, gratuitously belittling, and at times disrespectful." Although he declared Biden the winner, Zogby wrote: Biden, for his part, stopped the bleeding from the first presidential debate by being aggressive and by asserting that he was at the President's side when the United States was hit by its worst economic crisis in decades and with two wars. But, frankly, Biden was supercilious, gratuitously belittling, and at times disrespectful.

Vice President Joe Biden said in Thursday night’s vice presidential debate that life begins at conception, that he accepts the Catholic Church’s position on abortion, and that he believes abortion must be legal. The Catholic Church's teaching is not only that abortion is always wrong, but also that Catholics in public office have a grave duty to oppose legalizing it while speaking out clearly against it. The position Biden took on abortion before an audience of many millions in this nationally televised debate was in direct defiance of an ancient moral teaching of the

Both Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough agreed that “to know Joe is to love him,” despite poll results pointing to the contrary. Brokaw, however, approached the Vice President’s performance a bit more critically, saying that he simply “can’t contain himself” before pointing to the fact that Biden continued to smirk or laugh while he and Ryan discussed serious, solemn issues like Iran and Libya. “I don’t think he was laughing,” said Brzezinski, but rather showed

Liberals are more pleased with moderator Martha Raddatz than conservatives are disappointed. And it's easy to see why. Raddatz allowed Joe Biden to interrupt Paul Ryan repeatedly during the Vice Presidential debate, and interrupted Ryan herself, while posing questions that were radically in favor of the Obama team. Ryan overcame Raddatz's bias and won the debate regardless, leaving less for conservatives to complain about. Still, it is worth noting the facts. While the candidates' speaking time was roughly equal--not counting crosstalk, Biden spoke for 38:25 and Ryan 37:27--Raddatz’s questions were not in any way a measure of equality.

The Obama campaign is struggling to respond to mounting criticism of Vice President Joe Biden's bizarre behavior during last night's debate with Rep. Paul Ryan. Biden not only interrupted Ryan frequently--82 times, according to Republican National Committee chair Reince Priebus--but frequently laughed, smirked, and snorted at serious moments, showing contempt for his opponent and disturbing even friendly observers. A CNN poll conducted after the debate, which handed Ryan a narrow 48%-44% victory, also showed that Ryan had beaten Biden by an even wider margin when it came to "likeability." Viewers in the poll--with an admittedly small sample--
