We need the truth about Libya

The Obama administration's lies about the Benghazi attack continue to unravel. The President would like us to believe that he and his spokespeople have merely passed on the best intelligence they had as it evolved. But the State Department said yesterday that it never concluded that there was a protest outside the consulate. (Snip) By September 13, the President had internally designated the attack an act of terrorism so that he would have the legal authority to mobilize military and intelligence assets. But, for the next five days, his spokespeople, most notably Press Secretary Jay Carney

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton brought up the now infamous anti-Muslim video at the transfer of remains ceremony held at Andrews Air Force Base, upon the arrival of the remains of 4 Americans killed in a terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. The ceremony, where President Obama also spoke, was held September 14, three days after the attack, and was broadcast live across the nation on television. The video, the Obama administration long suggested, was what sparked attacks against Americans, in Libya and elsewhere across the Muslim world.

Videographer James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas caught an official for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign helping who she thought was an Obama supporter set herself up to vote more than once in November. Stephanie Caballero is the regional field director for Obama’s Organizing For America in Houston, Texas. Federal Election Commission documents show, according to Project Veritas, that Caballero is a “salaried employee of the DNC [Democratic National Committee].” Caballero is caught on camera helping the young woman try to vote in Florida and Texas in the upcoming election.

NAIROBI, Kenya - President Obama’s half brother, who has gained a reputation in Kenya as the family’s ne’er-do-well, is making headlines again. George Obama, 30, is being sued by his girlfriend who claims he ran off with their 3-year-old son last month and refuses to return him. According to a Daily Nation reporter in the Nairobi courtroom, the girlfriend alleges George Obama arrived at her house in the Haruma slum on the boy’s birthday, insisting he must take him to buy a present. Conceding that he failed to deliver at last week’s debate, President Obama says he was “just too polite” and that voters should expect “a little more activity” next week in round two. In a radio interview on the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Obama compared the presidential race to a seven-game basketball series in which he was ahead two-nothing and lost one game to Mitt Romney at the debate. (Snip) “You have a seven-game series, we’re up two zero and we lose one,” he explained. “You know, this is a long haul and I think that

Okay, Steven Spielberg said what he said about Democrats and Republicans at his prerelease press conference promoting "Lincoln," his next movie which will be released just after Election Day. And of course he's spectacularly wrong in claiming that the country's two major political parties have "traded political places over the last 150 years." If that were the entire story and Reuters reporter Christine Kearney (pictured here at LinkedIn) had simply relayed what Spielberg said, this post wouldn't be about media bias. But is, because Ms. Kearney herself took a journey into the land of make-believe with this subsequent

More sparks are flying in the Missouri Senate race as Senator Claire McCaskill faces questions about her husband receiving tens of millions of dollars in federal subsidies. News 4 has been looking into the story and reached out to both campaigns. While Akin’s campaign didn’t seem to want to talk about it, McCaskill’s campaign came back quickly to answer where the $40 million came from and where it went. ‘This is another baseless unfounded attack by congressman akin,” said McCaskill spokeswoman Caitlin Legacki. A Chuck E. Cheese employee is accused of stabbing a woman with a box cutter after an argument about a salad plate, police said. Shardonnae Pruitt, 19, of the 9600 block of South Merrion Avenue, was charged with simple assault and battery after the incident late last month, according to Police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak. The patron, 25, told police Pruitt stabbed her around 3:15 p.m. on Sept. 30 at the restaurant at 5030 S. Kedzie Ave., Kubiak said. The patron was with a 40-year-old man who became angry that Pruitt had taken away his salad plate and threw his utensils on the floor and demanded to see the manager, police said.

Yesterday, liberal commentator Andrew Sullivan had a spectacular online meltdown. Having spent months prophesying Obama’s inevitable re-election, with the certainty of a preacher awaiting Christ’s return, Sullivan flipped out when polls showed Romney edging ahead post-debate. Citing Pew’s report that puts the President 4 points behind, he wrote “I've never seen a candidate self-destruct for no external reason this late in a campaign before.” The Atlantic replied, “Geez … It's rare to see a single poll induce such an epic freakout … but it is certainly channeling a particular strain of worry infecting the president's fans.” Personally, I’m overjoyed.

The Obama campaign beclowned itself this morning on a conference call attacking Mitt Romney's "dishonesty on abortion," in an attempt to stop Romney's effort "to close the deal" (in the words of Obama spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter). Not content to point out possible contradictions in Romney's statements, the campaign flat-out lied about his position, using attacks that have been discredited even by Obama-friendly fact-checkers. Cutter cited an Associated Press story about Romney's interview with the Des Moines Register in which the AP reported him as saying that "he would not pursue any abortion-related legislation if elected president

How rich do you have to be in Barack Obama's America to pay the whole tab for your own abortion? What about a divorced 38-year-old public school principal who has three children and earns $90,000 per year? Would she need to personally pay the full fair to have a doctor kill her fourth child while that child was still in her womb? Under Obamacare, the federal government will force taxpayers to help her buy insurance that pays for abortions. Back in March, the Obama administration published the 166-page regulation governing the establishment of Obamacare's state health-insurance exchanges.

All credit card contributions are processed using AN Address Verification System (AVS) to ensure their legitimacy. Team Obama came out of that disastrous first debate blaming the debacle on one thing after another, finally settling on the most vicious excuse: Mitt Romney only won because he was a brazen liar. David Axelrod was obnoxious enough to cite as his moral witness one Bill Clinton, who is certainly an authority on lying with a barrel full of chutzpah. Axelrod pledged in every interview that Team Obama would be holding Romney accountable. Fine. That's political theater. But is there anyone in the media who holds Team Obama accountable? Most journalists are too busy hounding Romney.

Joe Biden comes into tomorrow’s vice presidential debate with opinion stacked against him. According to a new Pew Research Center poll, more voters view the vice president unfavorably than favorably by a 51 percent to 39 percent margin. Opinions on Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) are more evenly divided, with 44 percent of voters viewing the Republican vice presidential nominee favorably and 40 percent viewing him unfavorably. Biden’s image has deteriorated significantly since his 2008 debate with then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. At that time he was viewed favorably by 53 percent of voters and unfavorably by 31 percent.

London— A deal to create a European defense and aerospace giant to rival Boeing Co. collapsed Wednesday when Britain’s BAE Systems and EADS NV called off their merger discussions. The companies said they had “decided to terminate their discussions” over the proposed $45 billion tie-up because of conflicting interests between the British, French and German governments. “It has become clear that the interests of the parties’ government stakeholders cannot be adequately reconciled with each other or with the objectives that BAE Systems and EADS established for the merger,” the companies said in a statement.

The media is trying to figure out how this happened. How could Mitt Romney be blasting his way to the top of the polls after just one debate? Would you like a very simple answer? Here it is: The media tried to tell America that Romney was one thing, while the debate showed them he was another. The difference between the two are seen in the poll numbers. It really is that simple. For the last year or so the media created a template that reflected their opinion, not reality. Mitt Romney was a gaffe machine
