Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told Breitbart News on Wednesday evening that Democrats have taken civility to a “new low” during Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation process. “I think they’ve taken this to a new low, when if Kavanaugh’s not rock bottom, God help us all,” he said exclusively to Breitbart News. Graham’s comment came the same day Hillary Clinton called for incivility towards Republicans. “You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about,” she told CNN. “That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the

Police and FBI agents searched a Hudson Valley, New York, home Wednesday and arrested the 56-year-old man living there after learning about his alleged plan to build a bomb and blow himself up in Washington, D.C., on Election Day, two law enforcement officials told News 4 New York. Court documents say Paul Rosenfeld wanted to draw attention to his belief in an ancient election system called "sortition," a method of choosing political officials at random. Officials tell News 4 Rosenfeld had no criminal history but had told a reporter in Pennsylvania he planned to blow himself up on the National Mall around

Evidence is accumulating that Democrats have seriously overplayed their hands in their treatment of Justice Brett Kavanaugh and their calls for violence. This is the result of the dangerous combination of two factors: 1. Trump Derangement Syndrome has blinded them to the possibility of a significant number of people disagreeing with them. 2. They lack any feedback mechanisms to warn them of the reactions they are provoking, because their allies the mainstream media share their TDS. Moreover, they regard Fox News

Ammar Campa-Najjar is flooding the airwaves in Southern California and getting lots of warm, friendly press coverage. The leftwing Democratic candidate, who claims to be a moderate, is seeking to topple now-indicted Republican Duncan Hunter, who most certainly has made a hash of his own prospects. Any mention of Campa-Najjar´s rather spectacular terrorist heritage (Grandpa was a top leader of the extremely gruesome Black September terrorist massacre of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics) is brushed off as not his circus, not his monkey, something he´s repudiated,

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was scheduled to testify tomorrow to a closed-door joint House congressional committee (Judiciary/Oversight) chaired by Bob Goodlatte. (Snip)Exposing the FBI/DOJ dirty deeds is a major priority for a contingent within congress and a multitude of Trump supporters – but for the office of the President, in the immediate future, not-so-much. When you have this much leverage on someone, you don’t want them to quit. You want to use their damaged and tenuous position to your advantage. President Trump is in no hurry to fire Rosenstein (not yet), because the DAG is so weak

Everybody did it in Agatha Christie´s novel Murder on the Orient Express, and the same problem bedevils the US stock market today. A dozen co-conspirators killed the victim in the Christie novel. Here are a dozen factors that bedevil the stock market: 1) Bond yields continue to rise even while the broad stock market indices tank an unusual event. That, as I argued earlier this week, is in part due to the overstretching of bank balance sheets, which makes it hard for foreign investors to hedge currency risk in US portfolios. 2) Corporations spend more buying back their own stock than

President Trump, already the most media-accessible president in memory, is talking to journalists almost nonstop as his successes pile up ahead of the midterm elections. Take Tuesday, for example. Mr. Trump opened an Oval Office meeting to the press in late morning to accept the resignation of Nikki Haley as ambassador to the United Nations. Such a high-profile departure ordinarily wouldn’t be a positive for the White House, but the president and Mrs. Haley made clear that the separation was friendly. They took questions from journalists for 20 minutes on a variety of subjects. “Anything else?” the president asked when

WASHINGTON — Michael Avenatti held court last month with a dozen Democratic strategists in the main dining room at The Palm — a see-and-be-seen table at one of Washington´s most prominent power lunch spots. Avenatti did most of the talking. While he offered few details about how he planned to raise enough money or hire the staff to run a presidential campaign, one participant and another person briefed on the lunch said he cast himself as one of the few Democrats who knows how to go head-to-head with President Donald Trump. The U.S. Supreme Court will allow a North Dakota law requiring voters to produce government ID with a current residential street address when casting ballots to take effect. The decision, which came Tuesday and drew a brief dissent, will affect one November’s most critical Senate races. A group of American Indians challenged the residential street address requirement, arguing that it imposes “impossible and severe burdens on the franchise for Native American voters,” as many live on reservations or otherwise lack ordinary street addresses. A federal judge agreed and prohibited the law. The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals lifted that

Nearly a half-century ago, President Richard Nixon’s secretary of state, Henry Kissinger, established a successful U.S. strategy for dealing with America’s two most dangerous rivals. He sought closer ties to both the Soviet Union, with its more than 7,000 nuclear weapons, and Communist China, with the world’s largest population. Kissinger’s approach was sometimes called “triangulation.” But distilled down to its essence, the phrase meant ensuring that China and Russia were not friendlier to each other than each was to the United States

A new report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change offers a timely reminder that much of the Left’s doomsday hysteria can be traced to the modern-day environmental movement. Like Democrats’ dire warnings that everything from tax cuts to net neutrality will result in mass casualties, the climate cabal’s Grim Reaper estimates are not just wrong and constantly changing—they defy reality. Ever since Donald Trump wisely scuttled the meaningless Paris Climate Accord last year, climate alarmists have been desperate to revive the public’s interest in this once-dominant political issue. As concern about climate change has waned,

It’s time to update the GOP’s Marquess of Queensbury Rules. If you saw Ruth Bader Ginsburg at Brett Kavanaugh’s swearing-in ceremony, you know that we may need to fill her seat in about 4 1/2 minutes. Naturally, I hope she lives to be 300 — although parenthetically, it seems she already has. The confirmation hearings for Kavanaugh made Robert Bork’s hearings look like a day at the beach. At least liberals only lied about Bork’s judicial philosophy. They didn’t accuse him of being Ted Bundy. The next nomination hearing will make Kavanaugh’s look like an ice cream social.

Around 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, I was on my way out of the White House after a series of meetings in the West Wing. I was reporting on a question that has hung over this administration for months: How has Chief of Staff John Kelly managed to keep his job in spite of convincing and persistent rumors and reports that the president is unhappy with him, and he is unhappy in his job? Recently I read a post on the Drudge Report that an auction house was forced to admit it got "Banksy-ed" after a piece by the mysterious artist shredded itself after it sold for £1million. Apparently the shredded work of art will now be worth twice as much. Insane, perhaps, but hardly surprising to me; as I had discovered to my dismay that the world of art had long ago been more consumed with marketability rather than genuine talent.

Instead, the left has doubled down, trashing every institution they say contributed to their loss. In just the few days since Kavanaugh joined his eight other colleagues on the Supreme Court, liberal journalists, pundits and leading Democrats have: Attacked the Senate as an undemocratic institution. Questioned the legitimacy of the Supreme Court. Attacked the Constitution. Eagerly talked about packing the Supreme Court with liberal justices.
