A source with knowledge of these matters has confirmed to Breitbart News exclusively that RNC Chairman Reince Priebus will meet with Donald Trump “at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan tomorrow afternoon to discuss the ‘loyalty pledge.´” Politico reported earlier today that the RNC plans to ask candidates to sign a pledge that they will support whoever is nominated by the Republican Party and not oppose them in the general election. The political magazine speculated that the pledge is designed to “force the front-runner’s [Trump’s] hand”: The Republican National Committee on Wednesday privately reached out to GOP presidential candidates to ask whether they’d

Donald Trump, leading in the polls and riding a wave of momentum in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, just hit a speed bump named Hugh Hewitt. The conservative radio host peppered Trump with a host of foreign policy questions in a Thursday interview that produced some uncomfortable moments for the real estate mogul, who appeared upset at the line of questioning. At one point, Hewitt asked Trump if he was familiar with Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and the Quds Forces. Trump said he was but then appeared to mistake the Quds for the Kurds, a Middle Eastern ethnic

A high-level source at CNN says the network won´t give in to Donald Trump´s demand to donate $10 million to charity as a condition of Trump appearing at the network´s upcoming Republican presidential debate. Trump said in a recent interview that he was considering making this demand to CNN if the network wants him at the debate. Trump said at the time that his plan is based on the theory that he´s the one that drove huge ratings for Fox News on Aug. 6, and that his appearance at CNN would be a ratings bonanza. "If I´m in it, they´ll get this

Carly Fiorina said on "Hannity" tonight that there´s no doubt that she´s among the Republican presidential front-runners, and she´s excited that CNN amended the criteria for qualifying for the network´s September 16 GOP debate. Fiorina said that she takes great offense when people claim that she´s only in the presidential race to get a vice presidential bid. On the "Laura Ingraham Show" today, she even dismissed such talk as "sexist." "It would be different if all of the other candidates were asked that same question with the same regularity, but they´re not," Fiorina said. "I´m the person who´s asked that question over

GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina told the Hugh Hewitt show on Tuesday that it was “inappropriate” for a Kentucky clerk to refuse to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. “Given the role that she’s playing, given the fact that the government is paying her salary, I think that is not appropriate. Now that’s my personal opinion,” said Fiorina. Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis, an elected official, vowed not to resign Tuesday under threat of fines and jail time after deciding not to issue marriage licenses to any couples - straight or gay - rather than be forced to comply with the Supreme

Hillary Clinton will give an exclusive interview to MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Friday afternoon, only the third sit-down interview since the Democratic presidential frontrunner announced her candidacy. Mitchell announced the news on Andrea Mitchell Reports Thursday afternoon. The interview will take place on the 20th anniversary of Clinton’s 1995 speech championing women’s rights in Beijing. An MSNBC press release indicated that the interview will include questions about the the speech, but also the myriad of controversies surrounding Clinton’s current campaign. This will be Clinton’s third sit-down interview since she sat down with CNN’s Brianna Keilar in early July and Univision in August.

As Donald Trump continues to dominate the Republican presidential race, frustration and panic have become high enough to make some inside the party Establishment pine for a candidate they roundly rejected as recently as January: Mitt Romney. Romney himself has become one of Trump’s most vocal detractors inside the party. “He’s someone to whom civility means a lot. The whole Trump thing really bothers him,” a close Romney adviser told me — and some Romney-ites are only too happy to talk up the prospect of their man jumping into the race if the Establishment fails to stop Trump, whose support
