Megyn Kelly is shooting to earn over $20 million every year from Fox News, according to a report on her contract negotiations from the Wall Street Journal (both FNC and WSJ are owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp). From the Wall Street Journal: Fox News star Megyn Kelly has changed agents and publicity teams since last year. Now the question is if she will change TV networks. Host of “The Kelly File,” one of the cable-news channel’s most popular shows, Ms. Kelly is in active talks over her contract, which expires next July. Her profile has been rising during the

An Alaska lawyer said Justice Clarence Thomas groped her at a dinner party in 1999, a claim that Thomas said is “preposterous,” the National Law Journal reported Thursday. The publication said Moira Smith posted on Facebook about the alleged incident Oct. 7, the night of the disclosure of Republican presidential nominee’ Donald Trump’s taped boasts about grabbing women. The NLJ report said Smith, at the time a 23-year-old Truman Foundation scholar, said that the incident occurred at the Falls Church, Va., home of her boss. She said Thomas grabbed and squeezed her buttocks several times. “He groped me while I

NEW YORK — Hillary Clinton appears on the cusp of a potentially commanding victory over Donald Trump, fueled by solid Democratic turnout in early voting, massive operational advantages and increasing enthusiasm among her supporters. A new Associated Press-GfK poll released Wednesday finds the Democratic nominee has grabbed significant advantages over her Republican rival with just 12 days left before Election Day. Among them: consolidating the support of her party and even winning some Republicans. "I´m going to pick Hillary at the top and pick Republican straight down the line," said poll respondent William Goldstein, a 71-year-old from Long Island, New

Trump’s final humiliation of the GOP

When the news hit on Tuesday that the Trump campaign has washed its hands of fund-raising efforts two weeks before the election, the humiliation of the traditional Republican Party at the hands of Donald Trump was all but complete. His refusal to help fill party coffers just as the last push for voters commences — which is an expensive process and requires cash on hand — is the perfect capper to 16 months in which Trump has gleefully terrorized weak-kneed Republican officials, forced them to comply with his wishes and then screwed them. And it’s probably not the capper, not really; with

Rupert Murdoch is making Fox News´ salary negotiations with Megyn Kelly very public by granting an interview to one of the newspapers his company News Corp. owns, The Wall Street Journal. In the interview, Murdoch said that keeping Kelly is a priority, but that he has other hosts who could take over the program should she try and go to a rival network. ´[W]e have a deep bench of talent, many of whom would give their right arm for that spot,´ said Murdoch. Kelly, who is said to be making $15million this year, is reportedly looking to make more than

The Megyn Kelly eight-minute interview with Newt Gingrich was riveting. For me, it also was the last straw. Let the drive-by media attack Gingrich, but I thought it was his finest hour since he handled John King four years ago at that GOP primary debate, when King of CNN started attacking Newt by quoting Newt´s bitterly vindictive ex-wife. Our household has become quite sick of Kelly, much as I had gotten tired of Greta Van Susteren. Don´t miss Greta a bit. I know that Fox News is not only "fair," but "balanced," and I comprehend that they ultimately have more influence by

Secretary of State John Kerry predicted Wednesday night that President Obama would be seen as one of the most "significant" presidents in the history of America. "President Obama is going to go down in history as one of America´s significant and most accomplished chief executives," Kerry said in a speech at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. "And, lucky guy, he´s only in his 50s, he´s got a lot more to contribute to the country," Kerry said. "So we´re all lucky." Kerry also said that as a Boston native, he´s jealous that the Chicago Cubs now have Theo Epstein as
