Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., predicted Tuesday that many Republican lawmakers will break from President Trump by June if he continues to push forward with his agenda. Schumer told "The View" that while most Republicans have declined to publicly break with Trump during the first month of his presidency, many privately admit they have "real problems" with him. He also argued that some are sticking by him because of party loyalty and his nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to fill the late Antonin Scalia´s seat on the Supreme Court. A group of global investors with $11 trillion in managed assets told Texas on Tuesday not to enact legislation restricting access to bathrooms for transgender people, saying it is discriminatory and bad for business. The "Texas Privacy Act," or Senate Bill 6, has been marked as a priority for Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, a Republican and conservative Christian who guides the legislative agenda in the Republican-controlled state Senate. He said the measure protected the privacy and safety of Texans. The bill on a flashpoint issue in the United States is similar to a law enacted last year in North Carolina

Entire San Jose neighborhoods were submerged by water on Wednesday during the worst floods for 100 years. 50,000 people were told to flee their homes after evacuation warnings were issued in the early hours of the morning. Most were issued a flood warning but for 14,000 the order was mandatory. The flooding began when Coyote Creek, which runs through Silicone Valley from the San Francisco Bay, burst its banks on Tuesday night. It sent dirty water pouring in to the towns below it at frightening pace. On Wednesday, residents complained that the alert had not been sent out fast enough. Some

A Mexican man has apparently taken his own life just half an hour after being deported from the United States. Guadalupe Olivas Valencia, 45, jumped from a bridge at the border after he was deported for the third time. He was found unconscious next to a plastic bag with his belongings and died in hospital a short while later. His death came as the Trump administration issued new guidelines to widen the net for deporting illegal immigrants from the US. (Snip) Mr Olivas was a native of Sinaloa, one of Mexico's most violent states and the stronghold of the cartel formerly led by jailed drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.

Brzezinski made the comment on "Morning Joe" after co-host Joe Scarborough said that he agreed with a panelist´s view that Trump supporters are wondering why people are so upset over what the president is doing since he is implementing exactly what he campaigned on. "What Yamiche [Alcindor] said is what I hear from all the Trump supporters that I talk to, who were Trump voters and

Astronomers have spotted a star system with planets that could support life just 39 light years away. Seven Earth-like planets have been discovered orbiting nearby dwarf star ´Trappist-1´, and all of them could have water at their surface, one of the key components of life. Three of the planets have such good conditions, that scientists say life may have already evolved on them. Researchers claim that they will know whether or not there is life on any of the planets within a decade, and said ´this is just the beginning.´ No other star system discovered before has been found to
